I am an artist and sculptor working in clay. I manipulate the material to evoke imaginary yet realistic forms.   Each sculpture takes direct inspiration from the natural world combining original, organic shapes of both living and non-living things.  Found refuse is often integrated into the design

of the works, intensifying the visual language and bringing a sense of history 

to each sculpture. My creative process balances hand building,

deconstructing and reassembling forms by carving

marking and sculpting the surface until an

emotional quality is revealed.
