Classic shapes (vessel, sphere, tray) act as the canvas for the surface language of earth, moon and sea. Each piece is a collage of
connections between all living things. Movement is
contained by the form but not static as a
dramatically different personality
emerges as each
piece turns.
Sculptural sketches in black clay. Simple gestural strokes of my
hand with thumb imprints. Small, ghostly, skeletal remains.
Each piece is between 4-6" in length.
Series of sculptures created around objects found on walks through the Gowanus neighborhood of Brooklyn. Discoveries of discarded metal refuse and small machine parts mimicked my childhood foraging for shells on the
beaches of Massachusetts. Each piece blends the language of
time, consumption, and decay into
an individual time capsule.
A series of sculptures blending the elements and agency of animals and earth. Each piece is intended to evoke past time, suggesting the eventual mortality and decay
of all things natural as a part of the rhythm of life.
